• I found the song Strang Fruit by Billie Holiday to be a very interesting, this might be an obvious guess but it seemed to me she was refering to the mistreatment of her race and what i guess was lynching. I'm not sure if that was still happening around the 1930's but its what it seems to be, and i also wondered if Holiday used "strange fruit" as a biblical allusion?—PJI
