What makes our peeps--our people--be that? Family relationships are usually part of it. So is sharing knowledge or experience. It has been said, "Your people tell you who you are." Sometimes we make decisions that force us to stop listening and seek a second opinion from another quarter.

Pulling up roots and moving away from a community also makes the tribe smaller for a time, especially of friends nearby. It takes years to build those relationships. My peeps for now:

Mother - Dignity seeking reactionary organist & nice person

Father - Uptight creationist & friendly guy
