For each of the sentences below, take each of the following initial steps in analysis:
• Restate the sentence by expanding on a quantifier phrase. That is, make the quantifier phrase the subject followed by is such that, using a pronoun to fill the blank where the quantifier phrase was originally. (If your restatement sounds odd, you may not have identified the full quantifier phrase.)
• Mark the class indicator of the quantifier phrase.
• Describe the sort of thing that would count as a counterexample to the generalization.
• Classify the generalization as affirmative or negative and as direct or complementary.
