• On page 5 of chapter 9, Jon says, “Everything is preordained, even my responses.” Do you agree with this quote and what are your thoughts?—CJM
• In Chapter 11, page 3, do you think that Vleidt truly does want to destroy the world?—DE
• Referring to chapter 11 of the “Watchmen”, did anyone suspect that it was Adrian (Ozymandias) was behind all of the killings?—ASC
• Chapter 11, pages 25-28, Ozymandias explains his reasoning for causing so much destruction, if it worked, is that action justifiable?—JS
• Page 6 chapter 12: What is the symbolism of the giant octopus-looking monster? I’m assuming it’s not meant to resemble just another villain for the characters to defeat.—MT
• In chapter 12 Veidt talks about how he transported the alien to make it seem like there is going to be an alien invasion. Do you think it was right for him to sacrifice so many lives for the greater good of the world? Could there have been another way to stop the Cold War?—DS
• On pg. 20 of Ch. XII, do you think it was, (or is) necessary for humanity to have a monstrous horrible enemy in order to be united?—MO
• In chapter 12, page 22 the silk spectre says “being alive is so damn sweet”. Why must tragedy happen in order for humans to feel alive and aware of their own freedoms?—LH
• Ch. XII p. 24: Did Rorschach know what was going to happen the entire time like Jon did?—HW
• On pg. 24 of ch. 12 Rorschach seems to want Dr. Manhattan to kill him. Why is that. And is there anything significant about him removing his mask.—MM
• In Chapter 12, Rorschach refuses to live while knowing the secret of who killed all the innocent people, so Dr. Manhattan kills him. Could you kill one of your friends in order to maintain world peace, or is that something only a “superhero” would do?—CSt
• When talking to john, do you think Adrian did the moral thing by killing half of NY in chapter 12 pg 27?—RG
• pg 32. Ch 12. Are you satisfied with the ending? Do you think that what happened was the right thing? If you were faced with a decision to kill millions of people with the proposition of world peace, would you do it?—CSz
