• Starting on page 8 of chapter 5: What is the point of including parts from the novel the man sitting on the sidewalk is reading?—MT
• On pg. 17 of ch. 5 the comic book being read seems to correlate with what is going on in the “real world.” What is the author’s purpose for this?—MM
• On pg. 7 Ch. V, why do think the detective believes the media inspires boredom?—MO
• Ch 5. pg 28. Following the removal or Rorschach’s mask, we find that he is a very troubled, individual. Before the mask was removed what was your opinion of him and how has it changed? Also what do you think the power of a mask is?—CSz
• On page 3 of chapter VI, is the story about Walter’s mom the reason he is mentally unstable?—DE
• In chapter 6, page 4 and 5, Walter’s mother beats him when he didn’t do anything wrong. How do you think bad parenting affected Walter in the case as well as others who are maltreated growing up?—CJM
• Chapter 6 page 9-11, the murder and rape of Kitty Genovese is described. It is said that the neighbors just looked on and did nothing to stop it, do you believe that you would’ve went out and tried to help?—JS
• Chapter 6 page 18. When discussing what he saw in the blot test, why do you think he acted so harshly, is it because the job causes great amounts of stress especially with children involved?—CB
• Referring to Chapter 6, page 26; when Rorschach is talking about “Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long”, do you agree with his statement?—ASC
• Chapter VI p. 28: When Dr. Malcolm is looking at the rorschach blot and saw it as, “a dead cat I once found, the fat, glistening grubs writhing boldly, squirming over each other.” Did anyone else see this as foreshadowing?—HW
• In chapter 7, Laurie cheats on Dr. Manhattan with Dan (Night Owl). Why do you think she did this, knowing that she was Jon’s only connection to mankind?—DS
• In reference to chapter 8, pg. 27/28 the nite owl from the MINUTES is murdered. Do you think it’s ever okay for an innocent life to suffer for the sins of another?—LH
