Our discussions on Mon. and Wed. (3/31 and 4/2) will be devoted to protest songs. Eight of these (the “EQ standards”) are being discussed by all sections, but you are invited to suggest others.
Your assignment is as follows:
• (Optionally) if you didn’t suggest a song for our first discussion, you can suggest one (just one) to add to the pool for discussion on Wed. by sending me a link at which it can be heard. Your suggestion should reach me by 3 pm Tuesday (4/1). (It’s OK if you end up duplicating another student’s suggestion, but don’t duplicate one already on the list.)
• Listen to the songs available (via links here and on Canvs) at 3 pm Tuesday (or shortly thereafter) and come to class with questions for discussion. (Lyrics and links are already available on Canvas for the EQ standards.) If you did not suggest a song, you should send me a discussion question by 8 am on Wednesday.
