Part of your class participation is to turn in a brief report of each of the six lectures this semester. In your report, you should do two things:
• Give a brief summary of the lecture . I have in mind no more than a paragraph. You will want more extensive notes for your own purposes, but I’m asking for only about 100-150 words in your report.
• Pursue one thought further . Either provide more detail about a particular point that interested you, or present a question the lecture leads you to ask. This part of the report should also be about a paragraph in length. (I’m not expecting a question to be a paragraph long by itself; if you take this approach, you might also either say what leads you to ask the question or sketch one or two possible answers.)
You should submit this by the next class period, either electronically (on the Blackboard site for the class or by e-mail) or bringing it to class on paper.
